One Week to Go

until the York train meet.  And I'm really looking forward to it.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate.  We hope to leave Thursday after Rod gets home from work, and drive as far as Breezewood, where we have a room reservation.  Then first thing Friday morning, we head for York.  I'll have to make sure that my Zune is fully charged for the music.  Rod and I have made some of our best plans, and dreamed some of our best dreams while riding in the car. We're getting our "wish list" ready.  It's just an overnight vacation, but I always love it.  Train people are almost as nice as quilt people.

Today is much better than yesterday.  I'm making lists, lots of lists.  A list of what I can do. A list of what I wish I could do.  A list of what foods I love.  A list of foods I've never tried.  And I'm trying to be more positive.  Thanks to all for their concerns and kindnesses.  But I'm OK.

I'm so glad to hear you are having a better day. I am a list-maker, too. We just met someone from our church who has a big train display and I got to see it very briefly. I think they go to that York show, too. I'm sure you'll have a good trip.

Glad you are having a better day! I love short vacations...they are the best. My good friends husband is also into trains...they recently took Amtrak from St Louis to Kansas City just for the train ride...
