All my other projects are on hold right now because I have something very important to make. The Outreach
Group at Mary's church has agreed to do a spaghetti dinner to benefit little Becky. She has to have chemo for the next 12 months, and medical insurance will only pay for one prosthetic eye every 5 years. We all know that a 4 year old is going to grow very quickly, and this seems so unfair. Mary and my niece Becky (little Becky's her namesake) have discussed making some gift baskets to raffle at the dinner, and I have decided to make a quilt to raffle. The dinner is the first Thursday in March, so I should have plenty of time to put something simple together. Since our area is definitely Steeler Nation, I'm going to cut 6-1/2" squares of Steeler fabric and gold fabric with my AccuQuilt GO cutter, and just put them together alternatively. I have Steeler fleece to put on the back, and can just do a diagonal quilting. Hopefully this will raise some good money to help them out.
