What a Great Idea!

My friend Nancy has just moved into a new sewing room, and today posted photos of that room.  My favorite part of Nancy's new room is her dry erase board.  Nancy has her word of the year on the board and then has listed the projects she is working on.  I think I may need to get a board like this.  Maybe not so big, but I think it may help me.  If you recall, my word of the year was organize.  I had such great intentions, but they seem to have fallen by the wayside.  I'm thinking that if I listed small organizational projects on my board, then I could do one at a time and cross them off or erase them.  By dividing my overwhelming mess into small projects, it might encourage me to take just an hour at a time and accomplish something, instead of sitting there with my head in my hands wondering where to start.  Small steps=large leaps.

Sometimes figuring out where to start is the hardest part. I do feel good if I do even the smallest step toward a bigger goal, so it might be a good idea to do what you posted......set up a board and write some small projects on there and then work on one at a time! Let us know how it goes.

What a wonderful sewing room your friend has!!! Now, about the board. I am great at making lists and ignoring them, but this might have some merit. I just might have to move my board from the barn where it is no longer needed, into my studio. Or house. Whatever, organize is my catch phrase this year too. Good luck.

What a great room! When I am ready to move back in to my "woman cave" I think I want to add a dry ease board. I'm already planning to have a pin-board. :)
